Shipping policy
Last updated: 25th November 2025
Beckside Machinery Limited trading as Beckside Machinery (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides delivery services across the United Kingdom for parts, machinery attachments, and vehicles. This policy outlines the process for arranging delivery, the methods used, associated fees, and the responsibilities of both parties.
1. General Information
Most products are built to order, and dispatch times vary depending on stock levels, workshop capacity, and the type of item. For accurate lead times, please contact our office before placing your order.
Our standard delivery covers England, Wales, and Southern Scotland.
Please note that some regions, including Northern Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, and other non-mainland or remote locations, may not be subject to our standard delivery charges. Customers in these regions must contact us for a tailored delivery price.
Customers may also collect orders from our premises or arrange their own courier or transport provider.
2. Delivery of Parts (Courier Delivery)
• Parts and components are typically shipped via third-party courier services.
• Delivery is usually made within 48 hours of dispatch, although this cannot be guaranteed.
• Courier delivery fees are calculated at checkout, taking into account the size, weight, and destination of the item.
• Tracking information is provided where available.
3. Delivery of Attachments (Pallet Delivery)
• Attachments and larger implements are shipped via palletised delivery using a specialist third-party carrier.
• Deliveries are made using a tail-lift truck, meaning no forklift is required at the delivery address.
• Standardised pallet delivery fees apply across England, Scotland, and Wales, although charges may vary depending on pallet size or configuration.
• Northern Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, and other non-mainland areas may require additional charges or separate delivery arrangements. Please contact our office for a quotation.
The carrier will contact customers with a delivery window where possible.
4. Delivery of Vehicles and Machinery
• Vehicles and machinery are delivered throughout the UK using appropriate transport arrangements.
• Delivery charges are calculated based on mileage, travel time, and legal transport restrictions, including UK driving time regulations.
• To obtain a quotation for vehicle delivery, customers should contact the office.
5. Customer Collection
Customers may collect items directly from:
Beckside Machinery, Beckside Farm, Caistor Road, Osgodby. Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, LN8 3SY
The collection must be arranged in advance. Customers may also appoint a third-party carrier to collect goods on their behalf. The collection must occur within Beckside Machinery’s trading hours. Beckside Machinery is not liable for any costs incurred by the collection.
6. Delivery Requirements and Access
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure:
• Suitable access for delivery vehicles
• Adequate space for unloading pallets or machinery
• Presence of an adult authorised to inspect and sign for the goods
If delivery fails due to access restrictions or the customer not being present, additional charges may apply.
7. Inspection and Acceptance of Goods (Risk and Responsibility)
Risk in the goods transfers to the customer upon delivery.
Customers must inspect all goods before accepting or signing for the delivery and must not accept damaged items.
If any damage, missing parts, or visible defects are identified, the customer must note the issue on the delivery paperwork before signing and inform Beckside Machinery as soon as reasonably possible.
Signing for goods without comment confirms that the order has been received in acceptable condition.
8. Delivery Delays
We aim to meet all stated delivery timeframes, but delays may occur due to factors outside our control, including courier delays, transport restrictions, or workshop scheduling. We are not liable for consequential losses arising from delayed delivery.
