ROTARY ATV MOWER IN THE AR SERIES 
Among the various types of rotary mowers, the Wessex AR rotary mower is the first choice for topping paddocks and maintaining regularly mowed grass areas. The Wessex AR is capable of general pasture topping and fine turf work, and is therefore popular on farms, studs, and private estates, and can be used with an ATV, utility vehicle, or a 4 x 4.

Topping a paddock & maintaining regularly mowed grass areas of a paddock with a Wessex AR rotary quad mower is the first choice for use on paddocks. Farms, studs, and private estates have come to rely on the Wessex AR quad bike mower for general pasture topping and fine turf work, which complements an ATV, utility vehicle, or 4x4. Available in 1.2m, 1.5m and 1.8m working widths, & with a variety of engine sizes, the AR Series ATV mower is a robust and durable machine ideally suited to private estates, farms, and studs. Standard machines are fitted with side-mounted wheels, which allow ground contours to be followed accurately without scalping. There are however some models that are not available with the optional rear wheel configuration if the machine will be required to mow close to borders and fences etc. When the machine has wheels behind it, the load on the ball hitch is greatly increased, therefore, when using a rear wheeled machine, the towing vehicle must be able to accommodate a sufficient weight capacity on the drawbar. If the towing vehicle has inadequate drawbar capacity, the third wheel option is available. It is now on its own wheels, and the entire weight of the quad bike mower is floating on the drawbar.

This machine has a Briggs and Stratton engine that produces 12.50hp or 13hp with an electric start option as well as inline rear wheels (to cut almost to the edge of the blade)
The drawbar of this machine can easily be shifted to the side so that it can cover one wheel of the towing vehicle
In addition to the overlapping rotors used on all models of the ATV mowers, rigid cutterbar blades have been used on all models to ensure durability
The transmission of power to the rotors takes place through two vee-belts and a centrifugal clutch. A simple action of sliding one of the engines mounting brackets is used to tension both belts simultaneously.
Through the use of spring-loaded pins on the wheel brackets, the wheels on the cutter head can be repositioned in order to set the height of the cut. Turnbuckles on the drawbar allow the machine to be levelled at any cutting height by simply adjusting the turnbuckles.
