Introducing: The New Polaris Ranger 1000
The Polaris Ranger 1000 looks stylish with excellent bodywork, which flows across the off-road vehicles surfaces, making it look modern and rugged. The nose at the front is slightly higher up than previous Polaris Rangers; this looks great and doesn't obscure the driver's view.
There are electrical connections that are marked for position and a bus bar which makes it easy to add UTV accessories. Additionally, there's a removable grill insert that's easy to clean as it's removable. In addition to a sturdy steel bumper to protect the front of the Polaris Ranger 1000, it really highlights that Polaris engineers thought about ease of use and making maintenance of your Polaris UTV as simple for the customer as possible.
At the back of the Polaris Ranger 1000 is a spacious cargo box that provides the driver with the ability to haul more than on previous Polaris rangers. The ergonomic design features a sloped bottom for easy drainage, with taller sides and pockets to fit UTV accessories. The sides sport a textured surface that is less prone to showing the odd scratch if it happens.
The interior of the Polaris Ranger 1000 is superb, with flip-up seats and extensive storage bins. There is also storage space underneath the dashboard. The driver can easily access the vehicle's controls, and they are easy to see as the digital display is directly in front of the driver. The textured floorboards are nonslip, and there's plenty of room for your feet. The seats are even more comfortable than one the previous versions of the Polaris Ranger 1000, as they have 25% more padding in them on this latest model.
Engine specifications and chassis design
An all-new chassis design accompanies the new Polaris Ranger 1000; it is a complete one-piece welder style instead of several parts being bolted together, making it more sturdy and rigid than previous Polaris Rangers. The engine is positioned underneath the read bed for a quieter drive, so it's more challenging to hear the motor's noise.
The Polaris Ranger 1000 includes front dual A-arms, and rear independent control arms, all of which add up to a smoother drive. This premium off-road vehicle sports 25" tyres, and the wheel travel is 10" and 12" ground clearance, which means that this Polaris UTV offers a smoother ride over rough ground. This new Polaris Ranger 1000 has an upgraded braking system, such as the one found on the heavy-duty Polaris Ranger XP 1000.
The Polaris Ranger 1000 and the Polaris Ranger XP 1000 also share the new ProStar engine in common. Apart from differences in the cylinder heads, the two engines on these Polaris off-road vehicles are identical. The only difference is that the Polaris Ranger 1000 has a single overhead cam head to deliver power exactly where it is required. The power is produced via CVT transmission, and access to the CVT cover is simple enough. It has a new heavy-duty belt, and the air filter is completely redesigned with a simple to remove the cover. The oil filter is also simple to access, being located in front of the engine and right behind the CTV. Checking the oil is done via the diA dipstick, and there's a rather large fill hole which makes it ideal for refilling the Polaris Ranger 1000 after an oil change.
Riding in the new Polaris Ranger 1000
The seat is thicker and, therefore, more comfortable, and the Polaris Ranger 1000 quickly comes to life once the key is turned in the ignition.
The Polaris UTV handles obstacles easily, and it's ideal for driving in thick wooded trails, hills and dirt tracks. You will notice that this Polaris is very quiet in operation; the engine is mounted at the back of the off-road vehicle, and this is definitely a plus, considering that it's easy to have a normal conversation with someone in the passenger seat without the need to raise your voice. The fact that it also has plenty of legroom is really appreciated, especially if you are using the machine for any length of time. The Polaris Ranger 1000 handles effortlessly, and you often feel as if you are floating down a trail. The movement of the Polaris Ranger down a track is precise, and there's very little roll even when you push the pedal to the metal. The new Polaris Ranger 1000 has a tighter turning radius than previous versions, and this is felt, as turning on trails is easier than we ever remember it to be. Best results are achieved by getting the electronic power steering (EPS) model, as it's so easy to switch between 2-wheel drive, 4-wheel drive and turf-saver mode.
The engine power output is ideal for high torque, without it feeling either abrupt or jerky. The Polaris Ranger 1000 gains speed very rapidly, and this is also so even when towing heavy items attached to the cargo bed.
In summary, the new Polaris Ranger 1000 is impressive and is a noticeable improvement on previous versions of this off-road vehicle, which were class-leaders anyhow. It has a large cargo capacity, is comfortable, handles speedily and quietly, and has plenty of legroom. Like all Polaris Rangers for sale, the Polaris Ranger 1000 is highly customisable, depending on your requirements.
